U.G.L.Y.: Holy inappropriate, Batman!

Teenagers These Days really make me feel like an old fart. And I'd like to point out that I'm only four years removed from teenagerdom. Seeing what's for sale in the juniors department at Macy's makes me feel especially aged.

Is it just me, or does it seem like Teenagers These Days are suffering from a collective head injury? NOBODY dressed this way when I was that age. You know why? Because our parents would've had a collective heart attack, and we would've been grounded until we left for college. We also thought about important things, like how exactly one is supposed to sit down in that, and will it ride up when I'm walking?

I feel like no parent should ever have to say "Watch your crotch in that, young lady!" And maybe they're not. Maybe every parent is doing their job and telling their kids it's not appropriate to dress like a backup dancer in a music video when they leave the house. But I bet they're not, because otherwise this wouldn't be in the juniors department. Just sayin'.
