So, I was over at NeimanMarcus.com today to see if their annual bundle of laughs, i.e. the Christmas Book, was out for 2009 yet. It's not, sadly. Before I navigated away to do important things (like watching the Food Network), I paused to take a quick gander at their fall shoes.

We've been through this before with Neiman and their silly overpricing, so I'm not going to get back on that particular soapbox today (I'll save that rant for the Christmas Book post). Instead, here are the same shoes at Payless:
Again, from left to right: $22.99, $34.99, and $29.99. I not only appreciate the lower prices, but the more reasonable heel heights, too. Far right in the Neiman row is a broken ankle waiting to happen.
Edit: I CANNOT get that second picture to cooperate, so just pretend it's where it should be.
great finds for less! i cannot imagine EVER paying more than $100 for a pair of shoes (and they'd have to be awesome for that!) and even payless's prices have gotten a little high for my taste lately! i guess i'm cheap :P
ReplyDeleteI've noticed that about Payless, too! I think it's because they're getting more "famous" companies to work with them and they're only willing to go so low.
