But let's return to the animal at hand, the wise owl. They've been getting trendy with college kids and hipsters for a couple of years, but this week I've seen them EVERYWHERE. Now don't get me wrong, I like owls, but I also don't want to get sick of them, so maybe there could be a screening process for all the owl goods before they're let out into the world.
This particular item, for example, would fail:
Golly, a dead bird with molting feathers and zombie eyes? Thanks, Nordstrom! You're too much. And at $59, so is this.
This one is much less nauseating:
I like it a lot. Not only is that owl way cute, but this would be a great alternative for when your watch looks silly with an outfit. And it's only $18.99, so I'm down with the price, too.
Finally, I saw this at Forever 21 today (don't judge me--I got jeans for $14.50!).
Their owls are correspondingly inexpensive. This little guy is only $4.80.
How do you feel about owls being all over the place? Is there somthing else you think you might get sick of? Do you also enjoy the fun names given to groups of animals? To the comments!
i absolutely love the names of groups of animals! a murder of crows! an IMPLAUSIBILITY of gnus/wildebeest is my favorite :D
