And I can't even cheat, because everyday Hubsey is like, "Are those in your 30?" (Stupid husband holding me accountable.) Sigh.
I am, however, allowed to wear new jewelry. And thank god, because I got a great deal on this baby:
No, those aren't diamonds; they're white sapphires!
The same day as the Loft excursion, we wandered into an antique store I don't normally go to, and saw this gem (ha!) hanging out in the back of a jewelry case. It's 10 karat gold and the stones are still in great, though not perfect, shape. The owner sold it to me for $59. SNAP!

Just pretend it's on the other hand. I couldn't get a decent picture with my left one.
I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but my plan is to eventually curate a jewelry collection. Obviously, I'm not going for the crazy bling, but I'd rather have interesting pieces than the same old stuff everybody else has. In fact, aside from these, I haven't purchased jewelry at a chain store in... well, I can't even remember. Many moons.
Have you gotten any sweet deals lately? Also, do you collect anything? Perhaps you're another jewelry obsessee?
LOVE it!!!
ReplyDeleteOooh, that's lovely! It looks like it could easily move between vintage and modern outfits - or anything in-between!
ReplyDeleteI'm a collector, but my collections tend more to books, dishes, and table linens. I have an antique dresser in my dining room and one entire drawer is devoted to napkins, another to placements and napkin rings, and two more hold tablecloths.
*sigh*
I think I need help.
:)
That ring is lovely. It has a bit of a Decco feel that I love.
ReplyDeletePrecious! I've never heard of white sapphires! Have a fabulous day, Kellie xx
ReplyDeletehey, that reminds me of my ring that you always grab off my hand! Asscher cut!!!
