What I Wore: St. Patty's Day

As I predicted in my other post about St. Patrick's Day, I wore a green scarf and shoes yesterday:

Hello, first day of humidity! Loving my frizzball.

scarf: gifted
dress: Savvy (the eco-friendly store in my town; the dress is bamboo)
shoes: Payless (4 years ago)

I really wanted to post the website for the company that makes this dress--because it's awesome and I wanted to share my joy--but they apparently don't have one.  Not even a blog.  SIGH.

But lemme tell ya, bamboo clothing might be my new favorite thing.  Aside from the environmental reasons to dig it, it's comfy, it's wrinkle-resistant, and I'm told it's hard to shrink.  And this particular dress wasn't too expensive.  It was $60, which did make me pause for a second, but it's a versatile style and I intend to wear the crap out of it.

Anybody else have any bamboo clothing?  What do you think?

  7. I've made a few things from bamboo fabric and I love it. So soft and pretty!

  8. I have had some bamboo socks for a couple years now. I think I got them from Target. They're uber-soft and they wear like iron, and they're black and they don't appear to have faded to a dingy gray like some of my cotton ones. I know they also have bamboo yarn that's really soft but I haven't made anything from it.

  9. So, Mail stopped updating my RSS feeds for a couple of weeks, and boom! I was about 20 posts behind on your blogs. Bobbins are really not that tough. I bet you have a self-raising bobbin if you have any kind of new machine. Also, nice scarf! It's from Go Fish, for your future knowledge.

Do you really wear your pink apron to bake? Le cute. I still wonder what happened to Mom's apron...

  11. We had a bamboo baby blanket given to us. It was really soft & nice but then I washed it, probably incorrectly. It shrank some & wasn't quite as soft

  13. I love the outfit. It's classy, but the shoes give it a nice pop. And that dress will go with anything. Sometimes a splurge piece is actually a great bargain!
