I was just telling Hubsey the other day that I needed summer dresses for work. My usual go-to for those is Forever 21, but I was having doubts that I'd find anything appropriate (read: long enough) for the office.
So I was all worried and fretting about where I could go to look like a grownup and not spend a ton--and then the universe threw me a bone:
Thanks, Target! I appreciate how you pre-sorted my search by dollar amount.
I love purple and I love black, so obviously I need a garment that puts them together. Plus this is part of the "easy care, easy wear" line, which means I can put it in the dryer. YES. $24.99.
Look, more black! But at least this one has polka dots, something I haven't worn in god-knows-how-long. $24.99.
And finally, something that's a little more casual, but still cute for the offensively warm days I know are coming. $20. (On a totally unrelated note, how funny is it that the Target website never shows the model's entire face?)
Do you have a go-to for professional summer clothing? Any places to avoid?
Love your choices, definitely shows Spring quite nicely and very appropriate for the office. About not showing the model's faces, I like that...:):) Keeps a little mystery going.
ReplyDeletei honestly find a lot of my 'professional work outfits' at JC Penny's. If I can hit a sale right, I can normally gets a lot of pants, skirts, tops and dresses to mix and match. But I do love Forever 21 - just got a ton of summer 'non-work' stuff there!
ReplyDeleteI was just in Old Navy last night and they have a ton of cute dresses. Most would need a light sweater, unless your office is boob friendly, but there was a ton of choices there.
ReplyDeleteKohls has some nice stuff too.
JC Penny and Old Navy? I haven't shopped at either one very much for a while. I guess it's time to give them another shot.
ReplyDeleteLulu, my office is definitely not boob friendly, but I have about 15 cardigans to choose from.
I agree that you can score some great finds at Target. I love a good dress, but find too many of them are too short. Especially for a night out dancing. I mean, if I can't bend over...
ReplyDeleteI tend to be a bargain shopper, too. I found a great dress for $12 at Ann Taylor Loft one year right after Christmas. It was originally over $100. Their clothes tend to look great and not be too flashy.

Gap has some really cute dresses right now, some very classic for year round. And they are having a sale in stores for some styles at $20! what a steal for that quality!
