Cold Weather Cozy

The weather in Chicago has been bizarre in the last year. First we had a mild winter--so mild it didn't kill all of the critters, hence the bug party these days--and that was followed by a drought-y, parched summer on the surface of the sun. Very unusual for here. And it also makes me think we're going to be in for a doozie of a winter, because that's how Mother Nature likes to roll. It hasn't been too cold yet, but I know it's coming.

I already have a gray coat that I love, but just in case anybody else is in the market, I found one for you. And it even has a hood! ($158) A bright red scarf would be nice for brightening up my dark winter wardrobe. ($20) Boot slippers are a must. I tossed my old pair when we moved, so it's time to replenish. ($38) Hello there, striped cardigan. I have a shirt very similar to you, but want to buy you anyway. ($22) Camel boots are another favorite for their amazing versatility. They're the ultimate neutral. ($60) And mittens! I have gloves, but when it's really cold I prefer keeping my fingers grouped together for warmth. These would go with that cute red scarf, too. ($35)
