I just realized I'm doing two shopping posts in a row, but I discovered a new flea market and have cool things to share! Over the weekend I joined Dana and Chris at the Randolph Street Market and it was delightful. The show is a combination of vintage, antique, and handmade items--the trifecta--and I'll definitely be heading back in the future. I might even look into having a booth there, I liked it so much.
Let's look at what I found, shall we?
Those three botanical prints were the deal o' the day. They were $1 each (woo!), and they're getting framed with some oversize mats and going above our bed.
As for the smaller stuff, I found some brass letter charms that will be turned into jewelry:
And then I picked up some vintage pieces (because like a magpie, I can't resist a good sparkle). I found a fun, pink-y orange brooch from the '70s...
...and an Art Deco style ring. I'm not sure how old this one actually is, but I liked the design too much to just leave it there.
For my local Chicago folks, the next market is March 23/24. I'll be the person hoarding rhinestones.
So what were you up to this weekend? Anybody else hit up a show? We also had a Super Bowl party and cleaned the house really well (mainly because a bunch of people were going to be in it). Did you watch the game, too?
