But anyway, I'm getting ahead of myself. Let's talk about going on a date. My favorites all involve dinner out, and that's exactly what we're doing this weekend to celebrate. We tend to pick places that are nice but not fancy-pants. No, I take that back. We used to get all gussied up, but have realized that we enjoy ourselves more when we're slightly more casual and feeling like ourselves.
I want to look cute, but I still want to wear jeans. That's basically what it comes down to. I won't actually be wearing anything here except the pants, but it's fun to pretend. The blouse could be a legit purchase, however, because its slight A-line shape would conceal the after-meal curse known as the Food Baby. It plagues me often.
The coral flats and gold envelope clutch would be extremely versatile; it's hard to go wrong with a solid color and both of those would jazz up an everyday outfit. My favorite piece here in terms of unique materials is the ring. The stone is actually gold that was liquefied and molded into a gem shape. Me likey.
Do you like to dress up for a date? Or are you more comfortable doing something casual? It's fun to be fancy sometimes, but four years isn't one of the milestone celebrations, ya know? What did you do (or plan to do) for your anniversary this year?
