Pinterest Picks!

I didn't think I would have time to write today, but I do! We got up early because I had to get my crooked spine X-rayed and it turned out to be fastest thing ever. So now I'm home again with some time to kill before class. I thought it was a good time for a second breakfast and some Pinterest Picks.

Speaking of my totally awesome back, this is almost identical to the yoga routine I do to keep it from going all Quasimodo on me. You'll feel so loose afterwards, and none of the moves are too difficult if you're just starting out.

Several Fashion Weeks just happened around the world, so I've been eyeballing some more fancy dresses I'll never need. Here's my favorite shade of purple looking gorgeous thanks to Elie Saab:

This nursery is fabulously gender-neutral. I love the patterns sprinkled about.

I can't go too long without giving you another taco recipe. These are white bean and potato, which means they're also gluten-free and vegan, although I didn't pin them for either of those reasons.

And finally, this is a great example of eclectic decor. The collected-over-time feel is so much more interesting to me than a room that looks like you went to the furniture store and bought everything on the same day. I want that mirror. Immediately.

So what are you doing this weekend? I have a cold to fight off and a project to finish, so mine won't be terribly exciting. Let me live vicariously through you.

  1. Wow all these are wonderful, I specially love the rooms! I am going to a craft party this weekend! This would be my first one! I am making some freebies for everyone, though it would be a small event but I am sure it would be great experience as we are new to Singapore and I am yet to open my store back after our move from Dallas!
    Hope u get better soon:)

  2. Gorgeous stuff here! I do a couple of "sun salutations" myself every morning to loosen up my spine :)

  3. I love the Sun Salutation! I try to do it every morning but I'm too lazy for it sometimes. Still it makes me feel so good, I love that when you put it all together it feels almost like dancing. And that even if you do it one thousand times you always discover new things in it.

  5. I am gonna be running around all weekend. I need to get back into the habit of at least doing some sun salutations every day. And grey is a great idea for a nursery! Love that!

    Feel better!

  6. I love the mirrow and the Warhol quote print in the nursery. I planned a trip to the museum on saturday and lots of reading and listening to music on sunday (oh, and a bit of cleaning as well...)

  7. Yes to the yoga! I repinned that from you the other day. Here's the trick: now I actually have to DO it.

I love that last room. That's kind of the feel we're going for here, too. Not too forced, but a nice mix of old and new and comfortable.

This weekend will be more of the same, I'm sure. Gus has a birthday party Saturday morning so that pretty much kills the day for me, but hopefully it will be nice outside and they can get out and play. I want to try and get some new stuff for the shop finished and photographed.

  9. Love, love, love that purple dress and the Andy Warhol quote. When I'm too tired to think or read, I log on to Pinterest and just look at pretty pictures. Ahhhh.

  10. The nursery is fabulous. I love kids rooms that aren't overly cutesy or gender themed. I hope that you feel better soon!

  11. Nursery is cute although I don't think I'll have a print by Andy Warhol up there especially one that says I never read. I'm loving that purple color as well as the dress. I don't think I'll ever need a dress like that but it's still nice to look at.
