Happy Friday! It's been busy around here, so I'm glad the weekend is upon us. Although, really, I have a lot to do regardless of what day it is (like The Deck That Never Ends) so I'm mostly just glad that after the lecture today I won't have class for a while so I can catch up. Some sizable updates are on the horizon. How's that for a teaser?
Anyhoodle, let's get to the Picks!
First, we've finally found a replacement coffee table for the basement. Remember when I made over the $10 table months and months ago? It looked really stupid down there. Too clunky for the space. So we've kept an eyeball out since then, but nothing made my heart sing until I saw this tutorial. It might be another month or so until we actually make it, but at least we have a plan:
This is a gorgeous color combination. The dark background on the print makes it especially striking, too.
Rutilated quartz is a stone I discovered a couple of years ago, and now I can't get enough. It's just so interesting to look at. The contrasting gold chain (instead of silver) is a nice touch.
You know how sometimes you see an IKEA hack and you can still tell it's from IKEA? Which isn't necessarily bad, by the way, but it doesn't knock your socks off? Well, this one's a slam-dunk. Couldn't you see something like this at Crate&Barrel?
Haaaaa! Puns:
So what are you up to this weekend? Did you find anything particularly snazzy on Pinterest this week? Who wants to send us some good deck vibes so we can get it over with? Thanks in advance.

Good Luck on the deck this weekend!! My plans this weekend involve class and homework and perhaps some birkam yoga. Ryan bought me a month's subscription so that should be fun. I have 2 of my education classes every 2 weeks so when it's their weekend it feels like a busy weekend!.
ReplyDeleteGoodluck on the deck this weekend! We have another weekend of family obligations... so no more progress on the exterior paitning project :-/
ReplyDeleteI do have monday off and might spend it with some cans of paint in the other bedroom upstairs!
LOVE that ikea hack!! now I need to hope our current bookshelves won't fit in the upstairs bedroom - so I have an excuse to get that as a piece of storage!
I wish I'd had time to even look at Pinterest this week! It's been so nonstop. Good luck with your deck!
