On the Cheap: I hate being cold.

It's very fitting that I've had "Baby It's Cold Outside" (the Glee version!) in my head for a few days. Hubsey and I woke up this morning and it was a crisp 62 degrees in our igloo house!  It was pretty cool in there last night thanks to a sub-zero windchill, so we turned the heat up to 75 before we hit the hay.  I'm REALLY glad we did, otherwise it would've been even worse...

So let's look at some things that will keep a person warm.

A coat is always a good place to start.  (Yesterday I was hawking my wares at the Bucktown Holiday Art Show and it was pretty cold in there, too.  Some of the other vendors actually left their coats on.)  Macy's is having an outerwear sale, and this military-inspired number is $82.99, down from $149.

Another score is this scarf (available in MANY other patterns and colors) for $14.99, down from $34.

And finally, boots.  Yes, these are rain boots, but they come with a fleece-y insert to keep your little feet warm.  Plus, I like shoes that allow me to wear three pairs of socks.  They're a steal at $19.99, down from $34.

Is your house like a meat locker, too?  How do you stay warm in the winter?  I'm gonna light some candles (no fireplace--wah!) and bake something so the oven can at least heat up the kitchen...
