Say hello to my gourd! I've had it for a year.
A full 12 months of tiny pumpkin! And yes, it's real. I bought it at Trader Joe's for 69 cents (or maybe it was a dollar, I don't remember) and it's still around. To be fair, it's finally getting a little soft if you squeeze it, but there's not any discoloration, mold, or other weird growths happening. It looks exactly as it did the day I bought it.
I think it's awesome, but Hubsey is grossed out and doesn't want me to get another one. I might buy one anyway, but to humor him I've also been looking at alternative decorations:
Adorable candy corn embroidery, $18, set of three felt pumpkins (that will never go bad), $22.25, a charming felt flower wreath, $40, and fun fabric bunting, $25.
Are your fall decorations out yet? Do you do much seasonal decorating?
Great stuff, fall colors are beautiful!! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI would love to decorate with all the lovely autumn things I see, but we're just not at that point yet. Too much construction. I LOVE all those things that you found. I don't know if I could choose.
ReplyDeletelol I can't believe it's not going bad at all! That's too funny. :P I have yet to buy any gourds or pumpkins this year... I need to get on it! Adorable finds as well, I love the wreath.
ReplyDeleteAll very cute! I haven't bought any decorations this year yet, though I've made a few.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the wreath!!
ReplyDeletethose felt pumpkins are really cute too :)
I need to start decorating more, there are so many amazing items on Etsy.
I love mini pumpkins!!! Seriously, one of my favorite things about fall is buying mini pumpkins. I put them on the table in a bowl, on the mantle. Once I even turned them into candle holders for a Thanksgiving centerpiece.
ReplyDeleteWow, that is an impressive gourd to stick around so long! Very cute finds, too :)
ReplyDeleteLove your selections, the felt pumpkins are my favorite:)
ReplyDeleteLove the colors! Thank you for including my pumpkins.
