Mother's Day Gift Guide

Mother's Day is two-and-a-half weeks away, on May 12th. It's not crunch time quite yet, but if you plan on getting Mom anything handmade (and you should! hooray for handmade!) it's good to buy a little early. I've put together an all-Etsy list of items any mom would love to get next month:

1. Botanical Print - Two things about this are great. First, the flowers are kind of shaped like a heart, and that's adorable. And two, the artist was inspired by her grandma for this piece, which makes it perfect for giving next month. Heck, I'd hang it in my house, anyway. ($18)

2. Spa Kit - I especially like this box because you get to choose the scent of the soap and the flavor of lip balm. ($25)

3. Pear Figurines - Simple, cute, and if one of you is a Star Wars fan you could rearrange the pears to channel Yoda: "Mom you love." Or you could leave them how they are, either way they're nice. ($32)

4. Love Necklace - This is from my shop. It's the Mother and Child Necklace, with two-tone hearts on your choice of a silver or brass chain. More hearts can be added for more children. ($20)

5. Kraft Notebook - A lot of women like to carry notebooks around with them (my mom is one) so why not gift a playful update? ($12)

6. Best Mom Card - I have a terrible time finding good cards at the store, so I only look online now. Heidi's designs are mercifully non-cheesy, like this Best. Mom. Ever. ($4.25)

7. Heart Hoop - I'm totally embracing the embroidery-hoop-as-art trend. This is available with a plain heart, or it can be embroidered with Mom's initial. ($10)

8. Zipper Pouch - Like the notebook situation, a lot of women always feel like they need more storage in their purse. This pouch would be perfect for stashing a phone and lip gloss, or it could be used as a purse itself. ($27)
