Pinterest Picks

I miss doing these posts every Friday. It's been harder this semester to stay on the ball because Thursdays have become my unofficial "do your homework" days, so blogging gets scooted over. I love my classes, but that doesn't mean I like neglecting one of my favorite features, either. It's like choosing between children. SIGH.

On the bright side, I actually have one for you today! Holla! (I woke up early to do it.)

I want these dining room chairs. And the pendants. And some French doors to magically appear in my house.


This dress feels very French to me, and I mean that as a compliment. We leave for our trip on Monday (aaaaaaaah! imagine me doing jazz hands of excitement!) and I'm really eager to get a look at French fashion in person. I'm curious to see how much I stand out, or not.


Pretty appetizer plates. I've been getting a little tired of chevrons, but the gold paint makes them a little fresher. I hate it when people say "_____ is the new _____" but lately I think gold is going to be the new chevron. It's starting to show up everywhere.

And finally, a friend tweeted this to me a couple of weeks ago and it's been waiting around for me to do one of these posts and share it with you. This, my friends, is The Perfect Deck. I showed it to Hubsey and we're using it as our official inspiration for adding some pretties out there in the spring. Note the pergola, the mod chairs at the table, the dark window trim...

We'll be doing laundry and packing, maybe going to see Dallas Buyers Club. Nothing too exciting since I want us to rest up before our red-eye on Monday night. I'll be back again before we go with a proper send off, plus info on how you can keep tabs on our sightseeing while we're there. Happy weekend!

    WOW, that is the perfect deck! My favorite is the plaid pillow! And those yellow chairs in the dining room pic! I think you need them! And Bon Voyage! I'm excited to hear about the amazing food you'll eat!

    Love the deck -- you could definitely do yours like that!! But what if it rains? If it were mine, there would be cats all over those pillows! Have a wonderful and safe trip!

    I LOVE that dining room. Like, love. When I was in Paris, everyone wore dark, neutral colors. Lots of grey and black. Which worked out well for me and I think will for you as well! :)

    I'm so excited for you to go to Paris! I hope you have a great time. It's actually a really good time to go, because even though it might be a bit cool or rainy, you won't have to deal with loads of tourists this time of year. I went in October once, and it was dreamy. Plus, they'll have Christmas things up in the stores! :)
