In the meantime, it's been almost a month since I've done any Pinterest Picks (whoops) so I'm getting back on the wagon with that. My first find today is something I wish we had last year when we hosted Christmas--a chalkboard table runner:
And yes, I've had "Blue Suede Shoes" in my head since I wrote this. |
Plaid is catching my eye lately. Plaid on our table runner, plaid on my scarf, plaid in this picture of the chicest bedroom Kentucky has ever seen:
Also from the same house is this swanky kitchen. I want to curl up next to that stove and whisper sweet nothings to it. (Anybody want to guess who lives here before you click the link? Hint: fashion.)
Isn't Chicago gorgeous at night? We both tried (and failed) to get good shots on our various flights, so I was extra impressed when I saw this. The guy who took it does a lot of work for National Geographic, so that explains his mad skills:
So what did you get up to this week? And do you have any big plans for this weekend? We have some family in town (the little nephews!) so there's one final hurrah with them before a day of relaxing with football. I'll see you Monday with all of the details about Paris!
ohhhh.. love the view of Chicago. Back in the day pre-9/11 you were actually able to fly in small planes around the buildings. My stepfather would take us up all the time to see Chicago and look just like this. I also love that Kitchen, it's like perfect for me and I love those sinks too.
ReplyDeleteI love that kitchen. Particularly the exposed radiator coils- I love how they kept something with old charm in such an updated space. Gorgeous house.
ReplyDeleteCannot wait to hear about Paris!!!
LOVE the kitchen! And that Kristen commented about the radiator! We have an exposed radiator in our kitchen. Guess where I like to huddle up when I get home from work and the heat isn't quite up to an acceptable to live in temp yet?!
ReplyDeleteThat kitchen is so bright and lovely! I have to finish my decorating this weekend so that's the only plan:)
ReplyDeleteLove the kitchen :) Plaid is classic. I have a couple of clothing items in plaid!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your Paris post!
p.s. that's wonderful that you received ornaments from a German Christmas market :)
I love the Lights of Chicago photo. I sent the link to my brother who lives there and is always complaining about the congestion, crime, and expense. Looks so beautiful from afar.
ReplyDeleteLove the Chicago shot!
ReplyDeleteWow - that Chicago shot is beautiful! I'm looking forward to hearing about the Paris trip.
ReplyDeleteI am so curious to learn more about your Paris travel. An American in Europe always sees things differently than Europeans :)
ReplyDeleteOk, so let's start from the beginning.. Excited to read about Paris! - I am s a l i v a t i n g over that kitchen - and omg, how beautiful does Chicago look!? Can I be an awesome photographer and take pix like that too? :o)
ReplyDeleteThe night shot is fabulous, and I always enjoy your house picks.
ReplyDeleteThe chalkboard table runner is such a fun idea...great for parties! And that night shot is amazing!
ReplyDeleteThis photo of Chicago so great.... next time when I stop there I will be looking for this view! My week was the best of this season so far.... I shared my Miami anniversary getaway in my blog : lanasartstudio.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteThank you for asking:)
