We painted the inside of our front door almost-black in October, which I do like, but the more I see versions with fun colors like this, I wonder if we should do it again...

This is sweet, a brass charm engraved with the roman numerals of a special date. The listing says it's for a wedding, but it would work for all sorts of things, obviously.

Here's a Guinness chocolate ice cream float. You're welcome. (And they're served in shot glasses!)

I know you never expect to see two food-related things in these posts, but I couldn't choose this week. Being an officer in the Lazy Cooking Brigade, I was too enticed by the idea of making lasagna even easier than it already is. I've never made it in the slow cooker before, but obviously I'm trying it this way next time.

Ha! Puns. Also, I'm enjoying the third peep with the major street cred. Finding this also sent me down a black hole of looking at sassy cross-stitch patterns on Etsy, which was a delightful way to spend 10 minutes if you need a break later today.

So what are you up to this weekend? My parents and sister are coming to visit for a jam-packed 24 hours, which includes a tour of Frank Lloyd Wright's home and studio. And brunch. There's always brunch. Whatever you end up doing, enjoy this slightly warmer weather. Maybe this is the end of the polar vortex horrors?
LOVE the embroidered hoop :)
ReplyDeleteThat is nice that your parents and sister are visiting - have a fanastic time!
The peeps are pretty awesome! We have a family filled weekend as well. The SoCal brother is visiting (and did not bring warm weather... boo.) so all 4 of us kids were at the same dinner table last night! Trip to the in-laws this weekend and another family dinner Sunday before the brother departs.
ReplyDeleteOh my, that ice cream. I'm afraid I might need a bigger glass :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
This week has gone super fast for me too! I'm going to check out your front door post. I've been thinking of painting mine. Enjoy your visit!
ReplyDeleteYep, printed that recipe right out!! I love the color of the door -- and it really goes well with black accents and decor! The peeps embroidery is a cool find -- Yo -- ha!

ReplyDeleteI love the idea of the blue door, or any color on the door! I think I may have to try that idea. Great Pinterest finds.
