Pinterest #18

Yay, weekend! Well, almost weekend. Nobody gets much done on Fridays, anyway, so let's just look at some goodies I found via Pinterest--one of my old standbys when I needed to look busy in my cube. Sometimes I'd get so absorbed people would startle me when they walked by. Oops.

Not to beat a dead horse, but I need a better tote bag for school. Maybe I should stop looking at them online and actually buy one...

This is a fabulous idea: turning an old vanity into a desk.

We got a toaster oven as a wedding gift, and therefore don't use our "real" one very much. But after seeing this chicken enchilada casserole, I might have to change things up.

I hate (haaaaate) our laminate countertops, and I'm itching to change them. In case I ever get an ambitious streak and several days of free time, I might use this DIY to replace them with wood:

Look at this dress! Technically it's for a wedding, but maybe I can make fancy white gowns trendy for everyday. It'll be like bringing back hats, but better.

So what are you up to this weekend? Aside from seeing the Hunger Games and watching Mad Men, of course.

  3. The vanity re-do is a great idea and the casserole looks delicious! We don't have a toaster oven, but I use the regular oven ALL the time. Good luck picking out a tote bag.

  5. It's a gorgeous dress- maybe it's me, but I don't get "wedding" out of it. I'd wear it to the oscars if I had the choice;)

  8. I miss pinterest so much! But, because of their terms of conditions I closed my account. I do plan on seeing hunger games although I don't understand the hype amongst adults. I read the book and it was enjoyable but frankly it was a kids book to me. My boyfriend is leaving for Germany for a week so we are just going to chill out before he flys away this weekend.

  9. Wow! How do you manage to find all these? Although I finally succumbed to Pinterest thanks to you, now I can hardly find time for it... but my husband got all hooked up!
