Anyway, Pinterest! Let's have a look.
This is a cute way to wrangle your fabric. Mine's stacked in a basket right now, and I have to dig through everything to find what I want. This would be an obvious improvement:
Chocolate coconut smoothies, anyone? It looks deceptively like a chocolate shake made with ice cream, but its main ingredient is bananas. Sneaky!

Remember when I wanted to be Beetlejuice for Halloween? No? Okay, well, I did, but I couldn't find adequately fantastic stripes. Here's my solution (it would also be cute for wearing on regular days):
And finally, I haven't done a cross-stitch in many moons, but if anything can get me back into it, it's Batman. (Seen the movie? Your thoughts?) Edited to add: as soon as Hubsey saw this post, he busted out the Bane voice again. It's been over 10 minutes. I think I need to be rescued, Mr. Wayne.
So what are you up to this weekend? Anybody else savoring their last bits of extra time? Or spending all of it on Pinterest, not that I would judge you? Have you tried anything from Pinterest lately? I might bust out one of those smoothies...

I just can't believe how fast the summer zoomed by, classes starting up again so soon! Great Pins, thanks for sharing! I love the superhero cross-stitch, and that navy and cream skirt is great!
ReplyDeleteMy summer is still packed as ever. This is actually our last weekend without any commitments until October 20th! We're going to savor it by going for a picnic in the vineyard where we got married - and play in our garden. When you become a home owner the weirdest things make you happy - like edging out flower beds

ReplyDeleteThis weekend the hubs will continue to work on installing our new half bath in our entry hall. I'm so excited on how this project is coming along. In the meantime, I will be wrangling two small children. :)

ReplyDeleteI seriously just laughed outloud at that "i'd bone you" card!!! Coconut is my fav flavor so I'm totally gonna jump on that AND I absolutely love that fabric storage idea. It's SO pretty! Of course I have a crap ton of yarn and not fabric but my wheels are turning on how I can make that work :). Thanks for sharing. Here I go to re-pin

I looooove that striped skirt! I haven't seen Batman yet. We've been taking advantage of all the free summer movies so haven't been to a real theater since Moonrise Kingdom a couple of months ago. I haven't done any diys or anything from Pinterest; I need to get back into making mode and stop being so lazy. Hope you enjoy your last days before school. :)
ReplyDeletewe have visitors coming in. so swimming later today in the pool. making steak and cheese subs for supper. then just chillin and talking. maybe a little local sight seeing. and depending on what we feel like, maybe dinner out at some point this weekend. LOVE that skirt. I pinned it too.

ReplyDeleteI just actually got back from my visit to NYC. I also saw Batman and my boyfriend did the voice of Bane for several days afterwards. School starts for me in 1.5wk too!
