Weekend Update

Or really, this should be called Monday Morning Brain Dump. I had a jam-packed weekend and instead of writing a novel, I'll just show you in pictures.

On Friday I spent the day in the city with a group of ladies I met through blogging. I've hung out with Dana and Chris before, but this time I got to meet Leeann and Sami, too. We trotted around the city seeing all sorts of tourist-y things, including the Sears Tower (I don't care that the name is different now! Sears Tower for life!).

Saturday was an epic work marathon. I had some orders to make and ship, more inventory to get ready for the show this weekend, and two final projects that are due Wednesday and Thursday. I got some stuff done in all of those areas, so my stress level is in a good place right now. Looking at a big pile of rhinestones can calm a girl down, too:

It's a good thing I was productive on Saturday, because Sunday ended up being awesome for a totally different reason:

One of my best friends scored some Bears tickets from a neighbor who couldn't go to the game. Did we want to go instead? UM, YEAH. Yeah we did. Not only was it the first game I've been to in 6 years, but these particular neighbors had something called United Club passes (which are a step above regular tickets but not as fancy as a skybox). I feel like I would've been crazy to pass that up to do silly old homework. Totally worth any additional stress it may cause.

And now it's Monday and I'm back to my orders/homework/show routine! What were you up to this weekend? Anybody go somewhere exciting? Who else is prepping for a big show?

P.S. In case one post isn't enough, I'm guest writing over on Milo and Molly today! Come see the easiest holiday decor idea ever.

  3. You've still got plenty of time to finish your school work. I mean, how often do you actually get free tickets to a Bears game? And in 50+ degree weather in December? I'm so glad we got to hang out again.

Off to visit your guest post. I already know it will be fabulous!

  9. We had a busy weekend too. We went to two Christmas fairs, one I blogged about today, plus also making lots and lots and packing lots and lots. ;)

I also still call it the Sears Tower. The glass bottom elevator? No. Haha. I have actually been on a couple before, but these days I'm liable to turn into a big ball of vertigo.
