I'm SO glad it's Friday. It's been a very long few days, both because of some unexpected business-y things (which I'll tell you about next week), and also because the further along I get into my design program, the more involved my classes get. It's getting harder and harder to juggle everything, so I might need to see about making even more changes to the jewelry biz.
I had something else in mind to chat about today, but that post didn't get done in time. Instead, I have some Pinterest Picks! Think of it as candy for your brain at the end of the week.
How about a colorful poster showcasing the landmarks of New York? I'm itching to go back for another visit.
Going along with my food post from yesterday, these oven tacos are tasty sounding and easy to make. I might have to put them on deck for next week because I have a project due and a test to study for.
Doesn't this yellow blouse just make you smile?
I've been using fancy-schmancy Prismacolor makers and pencils this semester, both of which come in 156 shades. I kind of took it for granted that so many colors are available now, so it's interesting to look at these crayons from 1897 and see how limited the palette was by comparison. Weird!
And finally, I think it's because I've been so all over the place this week, but I'm getting the urge to paint everything in the house white again. I won't do it, but I really like this bedroom:
So what are you up to this weekend? Hubsey and I both feel the urge to do a DIY project, so maybe we'll fix some stuff in the bathroom. (Oh man! I haven't told you about that yet! Okay, post idea for next week.) Anybody else feeling the stress of too many things happening at once? I either want a maid, or an elf to come in and do my homework. Or a clone of myself. Really, I'm not picky about it.

Yes it's been a stressful couple of weeks. I am surprised at how quickly March arrived but hope it brings positive changes with it. Love the crayon chart and that white bedroom! Good luck with your DIY project.
ReplyDeletean Elf! That would make Hermione very angry that you would enslave an elf. Just saying... I really like that yellow blouse but it looks like they are all out! Since I'm just getting off my weekend I'll be working the next 6 days straight. I'm hoping it won't too bad since I'm in a somewhat better mood but you never know how customers will be.
ReplyDeleteI really like the NYC poster. We'll probably be up there in a few months to visit friends and family and of course.. I love tacos. Tacos all the time.
I used to make tacos like that when my kids were young -- super easy and we all loved them! I'll have to make them again sometime! I want to have Samantha's twitching nose ability (from Bewitched long ago) and poof! it's done!!
ReplyDeleteHope your bathroom projects go well! I'm definitely feeling the stress here too -between school, my son, and my husband working 50+ hours a week I am so overwhelmed.
ReplyDeleteAnd love that NYC print, great colors and always wanted to visit the city.
Love the crayon poster and I'm all about crisp white rooms. Good luck getting everything done! These last couple of weeks have actually been pretty slow for me, but I was ready for a break.
ReplyDeleteIsn't white just magical? I used to think it was so boring, but these days, with the right accessories it is just heaven. I painted the cabinets white in the kitchen and we have all of these creamy, white porcelain dishes and bowls that are just yum.
ReplyDeleteThat yellow top is super cute, and the colors from the 1800 so earthy, but I guess that makes sense... Oh and those oven tacos look so yummy, I might have to try that! Have a wonderful weekend hun, don't overwork yourself, take these days off. ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous and tranquil bedroom. I want that for my space.
ReplyDeleteI lie the NYC poster and have never heard of oven tacos, but will have to look into them.
ReplyDeleteAmazing pinterest picks! :)
ReplyDeleteCrayon poster looks so wonderful and the colors of NY poster are so bright and eye-catching.
Have a great day, Paige! :)
I'm totally checking out those oven tacos! I haven't made tacos in forever!
ReplyDeletePut me on the list for a maid...maybe a maid who cooks :)
Baking tacos? Yum! Melted cheese makes them that much better. Of course I would be excited about this. I really like that shirt as well! I'm getting the itch to add a few things to my wardrobe.
ReplyDeleteI actually really love that yellow blouse, and I am not big on yellow clothes for myself. It just looks so sunny and happy!

I want that polka dot blouse in every color!! That is an adorable find... now only if they weren't all out of stock :).
ReplyDeleteI do feel your stress of too many things happening at once! We have so much going on in this house from the sewing room, to the office, to putting the kitchen back together (just re-did the cabinets), to family birthdays and new baby news.
ReplyDeleteLove the New York picture! That would look great in our office! Hubby loves color!
The New York poster is really fun. The taco dish sounds easy and delicious.
ReplyDeleteI love that yellow blouse, it makes me very happy and wish Spring would get here soon. I am going to try those tacos, I love the idea of the cheese being all melted. Nice collection.
