Handmade Holidays 2013 - Guest Writers Needed

Some of you might remember this series from last year and I'm excited to bring it back!

I'm trying to do less of my shopping at chain stores, both in general and for the holidays. First of all, supporting local and indie businesses is so important. If nobody buys from these awesome people, they can't afford to do what they do and we all miss out. Plus, going to the mall or a big box store this time of year just turns into a snarl of rude people and nowhere to park, so I'd rather just avoid it.

I already have a couple of posts in mind for this topic, but I'm looking for a few more from guest writers to flesh things out. (If I've already chatted with you, you're good to go!)

Here's what I'm thinkin':
>> gift tutorials
>> roundups of your favorite handmade items
>> recipes that would make excellent gifts
>> why you love to buy/make handmade

If you have an idea for one of these topics or something else that you think would work, either leave a comment here or shoot me an email: paige [dot] ronchetti [at] gmail.com. I'm excited to hear what you want to write! Team Handmade!

  6. Yup, malls are a joke this time of year. In fact, I kind of hate going to the mall anyways, isn't it always that way? LOL. Looking forward to your round up, I love the holidays!!!

  9. Count me in! I love to shop handmade. Unfortunately we still end up with a lot of toys and clothes from big box store, but as the kids get older and they start appreciating handmade more, we'll add more things in.

  10. I'd love to participate! I'd probably need to post a little later (I'm still student teaching through the 20th), but it sounds like fun and totally my kind of thing.
