I have a deep and unwavering love for Pinterest. We've grown very close over the past couple of months, spending all that time together everyday. So when I saw this post over on Young House Love, I knew I had to join in.
To participate, just finish a project you have pinned on one of your boards. Everyone will reconvene at YHL on Tuesday to share the finished product (no matter how it turns out).
I'm so there. Now, what should I make?
Framed chalkboards? I have been meaning to make my to-do list more visible...
I'm pretty sure a crayon monogram is "supposed" to be for kids, but whatever. I like it anyway.
Revamping a t-shirt could be fun, but it all depends on what kind of mood the sewing machine is in. Would this work with Liquid Stitch?
Tackling another furniture project immediately after the bookshelf that took me a week to paint might be, uh, adventurous, but I love, LOVE this. And think of how affordably it could be done! We already have tables!
Are you going to join the challenge? Have you made anything you saw on Pinterest yet? Should I throw caution to the wind and try the ruler table?
I haven't ventured into Pinterest yet...can you believe that?:):) But have heard so much that I did sign up for it a few days ago. Yes, go for that ruler table, it is gorgeous:):) Have a great weekend Paige:)
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like an awesome challenge! I love Pinterest! I pin tons of DIY but sadly I have not tried to make anything yet. I will see if I have time to try one of the more simple projects this weekend. Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteI did! I pinned a handprint-tree that you make with your kids. Ours didn't turn out quite as good as that, but it is totally original, and I am pretty pleased with it. I love pinning things on there to try later. Personally, I love that ruler table, but I think you'd need to find a lot of old rulers to make that work really well. I'm going to go check out the challenge!
ReplyDeleteTry it! Try it!
ReplyDeleteTry the ruler table! :D
I'm off to check my boards for diy pins...
Kristen, I wondered about the old vs. new ruler thing, too. If none of my antique malls have any, then I might try to distress some from the art store instead.
ReplyDeleteI love the chalkboard frame and the revamped shirt :) Can't wait to see what you create!
ReplyDeleteI like the t-shirt but I imagine the sewing machine getting really angry in the process.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the ruler table! I think you should definitely go for it! You'll never know if you don't try!
ReplyDeleteI love the ruler table & the chalkboards! Pinterest can get addicting. I took part (mostly, until life got in the way) in the 30 Days of Creativity and that's how I got hooked. Can't wait to see what you decide to make!
ReplyDeleteWell...I've done the crayon monogram! I picked up a cheap shadow box at Walmart, a box of crayons, and construction paper and made a J...which apparently isn't the easiest letter to recreate with crayons. It turned out cute enough to admit to trying :p I'm partial to the framed chalkboard...what a great addition to a kitchen or office!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like fun!
ReplyDeleteLet's see what you end up doing....!
that sounds fun! As a fellow pinterest addict, I'm excited to see what you make :)
ReplyDeleteI am LOVING the framed chalkboard! I want to make one but I don't know where I'd hang it. Got any ideas? This is Suzi....
ReplyDeleteSuzi, hang it in your office! That's where mine would go. Or you could put magnets on the back and stick it on the fridge.
ReplyDeleteLove the revamping t-shirt pic. Where did you find those? Would love a DIY on how to create one. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteJan, all of the pictures are from Pinterest! The shirts specifically are right here: http://pinterest.com/pin/75967004/
ReplyDeleteThe ruler table is outrageously cool.
