I just want to wear that outfit and lounge in those chairs, reading by the light of those lamps until some dashing suitor comes in and proclaims his undying love. And by "dashing suitor" I mean "my husband" and by "undying love" I mean "you have an unlimited furniture budget for the house." And then a maid will bring my tea instead of me making it myself. Swoon.
Are you going to watch on Sunday? Anybody else trying to rush through Season 2 so you're ready? (No spoilers!) You can check your local PBS listings right here so you don't miss it!
I have heard phenomenal things about that show but haven't been able to find it OnDemand. Lame. I believe you and I are long lost twins (born a few years apart from different parents) because we are basically the same person. Happy Thursday to ya!
ReplyDeleteWe are tv-less, so though I have heard of Downtown Abbey because of the volumes of time I spend online, I didn't really know what it's about. I know people love it, though. Your scenario sounds great, especially the maid bringing me tea. It's always better when someone else makes it.
ReplyDeleteI still have never seen this show, despite all its praises. I was majorly late to the party with Mad Men too though, and now it's my all-time fave. I do know that I'm a big fan of that dress, and if that's the type of clothing they wear on the show, I should probably start watching asap
ReplyDeleteI JUST got into the show and am already through Season 1! Love love love it! Great outfit, too!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen this show, but then again, I don't see a lot of good shows. That outfit and those chairs, though...Super nice! I bet you're excited for the premiere of Season 2. You'll have to tell us about it. =0)

Yes! I can't wait either. I would love to have a home just like Downton Abbey. I love that time period but then my best-friend reminds me that it wasn't really a good time for us brown people. So quick to ruin the dreams. In my perfect reality I would wear clothes like that all the time.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen this show but I've seen people rave about it. I'll probably jump on board super late just like I did for Mad Men. :)
ReplyDeleteYep, been a fan of the show since day one. But I like pretty much all Masterpiece, which Peter jokes is just all BBC programming these days, which incidentally is fine by me. Anyway, will of course be tuning in for the new season to see what Lady Mary and "cousin" Matthew are up to. :)
ReplyDeleteI am DEFINITELY watching on Sunday and am quite impatient for the third season to start! It such a soap opera, but not nearly as cheesy for the sole reason that it is in British, has amazing cinematography, has beautiful wardrobes, and other such things. I am also pretty much obsessed with the dog Isis since we have an English lab rather than the American lab most people around our part have. People always say Lilah is fat. She's not, she's just a squat and muscular English lab so I get giddy when Isis makes an appearance. Dumb, but true! Ha!
ReplyDeleteLove your picks, especially the shoes! We are caught up and excited for new episodes. :)
ReplyDeleteI have never seen the show, but I am loving that dress and jewelry. I hope you get all caught up and enjoy the new season.
