It's technically Thursday, but I'm doing Pinterest Picks today because it's Friday to me. Tomorrow morning Hubsey and I will hit the road for Indianapolis to meet up with both sides of our family (we're calling it the Family Summit) to watch basketball, eat delicious food, and get our shopping on. And since I know myself, tomorrow will be too much of a scramble to worry about a blog post, so I'm doing it now.
First and foremost: WANT. Nevermind that it's, ahem, almost $2,000. I bet one of those numbers is just an extra.
Adjacent to nachos, one of my all-time favorite foods, are enchiladas. This open-faced veggie version sounds delicious:
One thing I have not had a chance to mention yet, is that we're planning to tweak a few things in our bedroom's decor, too. We actually started this before the basement wet its pants, but it's chilling on the back burner for now. Of course, this bedroom by Emily Henderson reminded me about it and made me excited to finish:
Not that I have the budget or an occasion to wear a designer dress, but again, Elie Saab always makes me wish I did. I love the teeny-tiny belt, too:
And finally, I keep forgetting that Easter is this Sunday, mainly because we're going to be driving back that day. We'll celebrate the following weekend (with my little nephew, yay!) and maybe I can contribute some of these modern Easter eggs--done with paint markers instead of regular dye:
What are your plans for this weekend? Anybody else doing some traveling? Hubsey wants to know if anybody else has tickets to the NCAA Tournament. I'd like to know how I can make that chandelier happen in my life.
We have tickets to NCAA in Indy! We got them through stub hub. They may be awful seats, but at least we're going! Hubs was a Duke grad so I surprised him with Sweet 16 tickets for his 30th bday :)
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy your time in Indy.
PS those enchiladas look mighty tasty.
I have to work ALL weekend long due to my lovely vacation I just had. I just hope Sunday is slow so it doesn't 'feel' like work. I like the bedroom setup particularly that pillow in the front.
ReplyDeleteI have also boycotted the NCAA tourney this year because my school UCONN was banned from playing.. something about having too many awesome players.. hahah j/k.
Hope you have a great trip!
No NCAA tickets here, but have fun! I had the privilege of going one year in undergrad and hope to make it back again someday. I love all of the modern egg decorating ideas out there these days. Someday my kids will have some sort of sensory overload when we decorate eggs because I'll want to try all of the ideas haha.
ReplyDeleteLove the dress and the eggs! I just got back from Arizona and feel ridiculously behind on work, but my little sister is coming up from Indy to celebrate her birthday, so I'm not sure how much work will actually get done. She is also a HUGE IU basketball fan, so I'm sure that will be involved on some level as well.
ReplyDeleteI totaly thought it was Friday for a second when I saw you in my reader!
ReplyDeleteI love that bedroom and can't wait to see what you come up with.
We last minute decided to tile the backsplash in the kitchen last weekend - so we're finishing that up - but it's getting to be about time for us to start the bedroom you designed for us!
Those enchiladas look delicious! The lamp is great, but quite expensive. If I really really like something, I calculate how much it would cost a week. That trick makes every purchase look cheap :-) If you'll have the lamp for 10 years, it would be just $3,85 a week.
ReplyDeleteGreat Pinterest picks, the eggs are great and that lamp is very cool!
ReplyDeleteI love that light fixture too, and I don't always go for brass. It seems that everything I like is always out of my budget. Hope you have a great weekend with your families! I didn't even know there was a tournament. Go sports! Haha. :D
ReplyDeleteGreat finds, I am loving that chandelier! That design on that dress is fantastic.
