Happy Friday! And truly, it is. Not just because the weekend is here, but my semester is winding down, both of my projects were turned in this week, and now I only have one final and a quick presentation to worry about. And then I'm freeeeeee! (For a month until summer classes start, but whatever. A break will be nice.)
Let's get our Pinterest on, shall we?
This is a stunning dresser makeover. I think it was smart of them to leave the drawers wood, otherwise the colorful sides wouldn't have been so impactful. Also, I like the teensy metal caps on the legs.
We all know I'm the laziest cook ever, but one thing I don't mind whipping up is a cheese plate. This guide from Martha has some tips on how to mix-and-match the ingredients.
Look at this dress! No--we should call it a gown. If I ever have to go to the Oscars or a royal coronation, now I know what to buy. It's clearly inspired by the 20s, but modernized so it doesn't feel like a costume. I love the skinny fringe over the lace.
I originally pinned this for the coffee table, but the bookshelf is cool, too.
And finally, I haven't shown you any pictures from Toronto yet (next week!) so in the meantime here's a shot from the top of the Eiffel Tower.
What are you up to this weekend? Tonight we're getting drinks with friends, tomorrow we're going to work on the house and yard, and then Sunday I want to see Iron Man 3. Anybody else going to see it? Are you working on anything in the yard? I have some vegetables to plant for the first time ever, so any advice would be great.
Love all the furniture in these pics. We're doing stuff on the house too, and hopefully getting outside if the weather is nice. :)
ReplyDeletethat gown is gorgeous! and the view from the tower made me dizzy. lol

Fantastic finds! Love the dresser!!
ReplyDeleteLovely finds. Oh Gosh , it feels weird when your gaze at the last pic ;)!
ReplyDeleteOooo, I'm with Debbi! I get a dizzy feeling too!
ReplyDeleteFor outdoor plants, we always water them in the evening. After the sun has been on them all day, they can take in the water over night and it doesn't evaporate on them being in the hot sun.
Paige, are you growing tomatoes? I saw something on pinterest that said to put a raw egg in the hole before you put the plant in. We have two tomato plants so I tried it with one, and so far, the one with the egg has about twice as many tomatoes on it as the other one, and it was planted a week later!!! You could probably do that with any veggies you plant just to give them an extra boost. Love the view from the eiffel tower ;)
ReplyDeleteI love love love that dresser! So cool! And yummo for cheese plates. Have an awesome weekend! Derby Day Saturday! -Lindsey

ReplyDeleteall the pictures are fantastic though!
You know I will be seeing Iron Man 3 tomorrow. Yes.. I will.. can't wait! Also, I love love the dress. Yes, I would wear something like that for my wedding. My kind of style.
ReplyDeleteI like the dresser makeover. That's a nice idea I would have to try that on something that's visible.
Love the dresser redo! Good luck with the garden! Too COLD and muddy to plant here. But at least the snow is melting. My brother is driving down from SD to watch baseball. It will be good to see him.
ReplyDeleteExcellent finds! I really love that shot from the Eiffel Tower. I love browsing through Pinterest.
ReplyDeletefun stuff! This weekend? Tonight is with hubby after work, tomorrow I get to babysit my newest grand--Gideon 6 months! Sunday will be church and rest!
ReplyDeleteI love gardening! I won't really have the chance this summer, though, since I'll be out of town for a couple months. My advice is plant tomatoes, if you like them. They're super easy to grow and so delicious fresh!
ReplyDeleteHave fun at Iron Man 3! I want to see it, but I'll have to see how tired I am after my show. It may need to wait until Monday.
Iron Man 3 is in my plan for Sunday as well! I hear they're showing the Thor 2 trailer with it, so I'll get my Loki fix as well.
ReplyDeleteNice collection of Pinterest finds! The cheese tray looks really good I may have to put one of those together one of these days soon. I hope you had a great weekend and enjoyed Iron Man 3!
