Well, it's been almost a month since I've done one of these so maybe it's time to get back in the saddle. I think I know what one of my goals for next year should be: actually schedule some blog posts. Noted.
Anyway, it's Friday so let's feast our eyeballs on the best Pinterest has to offer. Like a DIY dinosaur serving dish. I actually think I still have a plastic dinosaur hangin' around the house (what adult woman doesn't?) so maybe I can find time to whip this up. Bonus points for the Oreos, too.
I have bathrooms on the brain since I helped my friend with hers. This makeover is so impressive because all it took was some paint, board and batten, and new accessories.
These are sweet potato tacos with coconut-cilantro sauce. And that got me thinking, is there a national taco day? Because if there's not we need to start one. WHOA. Post idea: several bloggers team up and everybody makes a different kind of taco! We could all write about them on the same day. Anybody interested?
Normally I get freaked out when a paint color is too dark, but this is a great example of how a navy blue wall doesn't have to feel like a cave. In fact, I think the deeper hue makes all of the artwork pop more than it would on a neutral wall.
And finally, I could see this shirt with some skinny jeans and bright flats. Or since it's still almost 100 degrees, with some gray or yellow shorts.
So what cool stuff did you find on the interwebs this week? Or really, anytime this month since I kind of dropped the ball on this feature. Who's down for a taco blog party? And what about that awesome dinosaur? Do you have any big plans for this weekend?
I didn't even read anything else and went straight for the taco party. Yes... I'm down.
ReplyDeleteTaco party?!?!?! You didn't need to say anything else! I'm in!
ReplyDeleteYes to the taco party! And I love that dinosaur, now I want an Oreo...
ReplyDeleteTaco party! I'm in! Also, I can totally see you wearing the shirt. With your yellow flats, right? And I love the blue wall. Such a pretty color.
ReplyDeleteThe sweet potato tacos look so yummy! I think I mentioned before I'd love to have a bathroom remodel. Well, we're getting new faucets - that's a start, isn't it?
ReplyDelete;-)
You already know I like a blue wall. :) Also, that dinosaur plate is awesome.
ReplyDeleteI love the navy blue wall!! It would have to be just one wall and in a well lit room. I do love the woodwork in that room too.
ReplyDeleteLove the dino plate :)
ReplyDeleteI'm down for for a taco tuesday party!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I might buy a can of navy paint... ;-)
Oh you BETTER keep me in the loop for the blogger taco party...I'll be your West Coast rep...
ReplyDeleteDino plate is the coolest ever.
Weekend plans: mother in law birthday party, date night with Mr. Hausfrau, toasting the new baby on the block on Sunday...should be good!
The dinosaur plate is too funny! I know that a lot of people would save it for kid events, but I would bust that out on every occasion possible.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh I love the dino plate!! I told my guy about it and he's loving it, too. I'm heading over to check it out! No big plans this weekend here. Well...we're doing a hike with 1048 stairs, but that's the only plan so far! He works Sunday, so we really only have tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteLOL!!! that dinosaur! it's making me so happy!!!

Lovin' the shirt. When I'm skinny, I'd wear something like that with leggings.
ReplyDeleteI just made some awesome Asian tacos the other night. Taco blog party!
ReplyDeleteLove that dark navy wall. The bright pictures against it is a nice contrast.
Tacos are a favorite in this house! fun idea!
ReplyDeleteThe dino serving tray is very creative!
(And oh, I was afraid some head severing was involved!)
It looks like the wall adjacent to the navy one is very light, and with all those pictures, there really isn't tons of dark color.
Great bathroom makeover!
PS: That taco recipe sounds delicious! I will try it!
ReplyDeleteThat dino dish is pretty darn clever! haha. Lovely post, hun. :)
