It's tiiiiiime! Handmade Holidays has officially begun! Today I have a roundup of favorites from my friends with Etsy shops--all of whom are crazy talented, so be sure you go check out their work. You could seriously get most of your shopping done right now, and I even tossed in a gift wrap idea at the end to make it even easier for you.
I've really been feeling the turquoise/red combination for my Christmas decor this year, so I'm carrying that over to the blog today. It's just so happy! Here are some gift ideas for the ladies in your life:
Deer Brooch. || You Are Loved. || High-Five! || Glitter Earrings. || Button Bracelet. || Heart Hoop. || Chunky Knit Scarf. || Drop Earrings. || Santa Gift Bag. |
There are a lot of reasons to buy handmade items. I touched on some of them in this post, but I want to emphasize again that buying these items means you're supporting real people. Not that buying things at a "regular" store makes you terrible or lame (heck, I did some Christmas shopping at a mall over the weekend, so I understand) but it's always much more exciting to get something from an indie business. A lot of people on Etsy have dreams of quitting their day jobs and working for themselves full-time, and every purchase helps them get there.
As for the rest of the Handmade Holidays series, we have some recipes coming up, a couple of fun DIY projects, and some additional gift guides to make the shopping part of your holiday prep easy. Be sure you check back to see it all!
What handmade gifts are you eyeballing this year? Have you started shopping? Do you plan to make anything yourself?
