Pinterest Picks

Greetings from Milwaukee! The Hubster and I are up here for a long weekend of basketball watching and antiquing with his parents. I've been sharing pictures from our trip so far on Instagram (@littlenostalgia) if you want to follow along. Before you bounce over there, though, here are this week's Picks:

What do you get when you take a taco and put ice cream inside of it? The thing I want instead of birthday cake for the rest of my life:

Let's play the what-do-I-like-about-this-room game. First, the floors. Obviously. Two, the paint color that's only a hair darker than the white trim. It's enough to emphasize some of the woodwork, but it blends back together when you look at the whole space--which makes it feel big. Three, all of the windows! I would leave a kitten outside on a cold day for windows like that.

At first glance I thought these were just regular planters, but they're plastic cups! These would be adorable party favors.

This is advertised as a doctor's bag OR a weekender tote, which makes it even more delightful.

Do you know where I keep my craft supplies right now? Well, they're not all in the same spot, which is problem number one. But problem number two is they're inside baskets, which are inside various drawers. It would be really nice to have my paint lined up in front of me...

So what are you up to this weekend? We're gone until Sunday, and that will probably just be a catch-up day for us. Anybody else enjoying March Madness? Or antiquing?

  1. Pretty finds! Those mug planters are so cool! For us this is going to be a lazy weekend, staying at home, cooking and just relaxing:)

  2. I love the addition of the pompoms to the planters, and I need one (or more) of those taco's in my life!

  3. You had me at chocolate tacos! I'm hoping to be able to some small fun craft projects this weekend, nothing is really planned. Maybe I'll even stencil some fabric and put it in some embroidery hoops!

  4. Those paint colors are literally exactly what I have in my kitchen... White trim, white cabinets, lots of windows, and the wall color is called Oyster White. I spend a lot of time in the kitchen, and I never get tired of how airy it is in there... One of these days we are going to put new cabinets in the kitchen (so we can make space for a dishwasher!!) and I want to stick with white cabinets, but I've been thinking about black hardware, so it was really cool to get a visual of that... with the dark floors. Love that inlay! We are so on the same page with decor ideas, love your style Paige! Have a fabulous weekend! Oh, and i don't know if you can find them in the store or not, but if you can... look for Choco-Tacos. Yumm. ♥

  5. I hope you have fun watching basketball! That entryway is really stunning. I love how the neutral colors emphasize the wood, as you noted. My big weekend plans involve attending a 'handstand clinic.' It's an hour long class on doing handstands!

  6. The little craft storage house is cute, problem is I have way more than would fit in there...so it wouldn't solve the problem of everything being in different places, which is something we share. Also, it definitely wouldn't stay looking that neat. But I like the idea and could maybe see using it as decorative storage instead, like to house a collection of something. Also, I would take that kitten you left outside and throw a rock through your windows lol. But really, I like that entryway a whole lot too. :)
Have fun in Milwaukee. I've only been to the airport in Milwaukee once when it was cheaper to fly in and out of there (instead of O'Hare) on a trip to see my brother and fam. If we ever do that again, is it worth seeing some of the town? Is there stuff to do there?

    1. Yeah, I have way more stuff than that, too, so I'd have to make something bigger. The concept is good, though! It helps me to see what I have before I start working.

As for Milwaukee, I'll email you!

Working at the tax office all weekend. I'm not doing well at all with my March Madness bracket!! Good thing there's no money involved. Enjoy your weekend.
